Want To Get Dirty?
Come to one of our volunteer days at Bright Leaf Preserve to help eliminate harmful invasive species such as bamboo and nandina. These invasives threaten to choke out native species which are essential to the well-being of the entire ecosystem through their rapid and widespread proliferation. Water and tools will be provided, bring only a good attitude.
Who: Anyone who wants to preserve and protect Texas ecosystems.
What: Cutting down/removing invasive species from sensitive areas at Bright Leaf Preserve.
When: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Where: Bright Leaf Preserve (come to the entrance at 4400 Crestway Drive)
Why: To preserve and protect ecosystems by cutting down invasive species and promoting native species.
